Lampard names an unchanged Coventry side from last weekend's narrow defeat at Manchester City. In goal, Rushworth faces his former club for the first time, while Cherif passed a late fitness test to make the bench. However, the Sky Blues remain without Josh Eccles, Haji Wright, Luke Woolfenden and Kaine Kesler-Hayden.

Brighton's start to the new Premier League season has been one of mixed fortunes, with the Seagulls recording one win, draw and defeat in their opening three matches. Nevertheless, they did come into the weekend as the joint-leading scorers in the division, level with Chelsea on eight goals. Brighton had also recorded the most big chances and highest xG in the top flight. Today, though, they are aiming to end a run of three straight Premier League defeats away from home.
0'
Coventry are enduring a baptism of fire on their return to the Premier League. Frank Lampard's side have lost all three games thus far, and still seeking their first goal back in the top flight. Only in their first ever season (1919-20) have the Sky Blues lost each of their opening four matches in a campaign. Crystal Palace, in 2017-18, are the only side to previously do that in a Premier League season. On a brighter note, though, Coventry have won each of their last three home league meetings with Brighton. They'll hope that proves a positive omen today.

Hello everyone and welcome to live text coverage of the Premier League! We're in the East Midlands today as Coventry City welcome Brighton to the Coventry Building Society Arena.
0'
Brighton are the favourites for victory today with Opta's supercomputer at 49.4%. Coventry's chances of claiming all three points are rated at 26.5%, with a draw at 24.1%. All will soon be revealed, as the two teams head out onto the field.
0'
Brighton are also unchanged from last time out, as Hurzeler sticks with the same starting XI for only the fifth time in the Premier League. It's quite unusual for the Brighton boss, who took until November to do that last season. There's no Georginio Rutter or Femi Azeez today, with a lengthy list of absentees also including the likes of Mats Wieffer, Jack Hinshelwood, Yankuba Minteh and Kaoru Mitoma.
0'
Tony Harrington is our referee today. He blows his whistle, and Brighton get things under way at the CBS Arena.
1'
An early test of Coventry's concentration as Brighton are awarded a free-kick, which Gross will float into the box. The hosts manage to make the first contact with the ball, but only succeed in diverting it behind for a corner.
3'
Rushworth passes his first test with flying colours. The Coventry goalkeeper confidently collects the corner, which will give him a boost as he looks to impress against his old club.
4'
OOOH THAT'S A LET-OFF! Dasilva carelessly deals with Ayari's ball into the box, with his loose clearance putting it on a plate for Gomez from a tight angle. The Paraguay international shoots first time, but his effort flashes wide of the target.
6'
It's been a dominant start to this contest by Brighton, who have quickly established their authority on proceedings. The Seagulls have enjoyed over 80% of the possession, with Coventry unable to get out at the moment.
8'
Brighton have another opportunity to swing the ball into the box via a Gross free-kick delivery. Koustoulas attacks it, but can't direct his header towards the target.
11'
Coventry enjoy their first venture deep into Brighton territory. Mason-Clark does well to work space for the cross from the left. Rudoni looks to attack it at the near post, but the visitors clear their lines.
14'
At the other end, Koustoulas looks to make something happen as he takes on Thomas on the edge of the box. However, the Brighton striker can't quite keep the ball under control.
16'
HE DID WELL THERE! After Koustoulas fires into the side-netting from a tight angle, forward come Brighton again with a neatly worked move into the box. Yalcouye jinks inside a challenge and manages to poke the ball towards goal. He can't quite generate the power, though, and it's easy for Rushworth.
18'
JUST NOT QUITE! They're just lacking a bit of composure. Coventry's front three are involved with Rudoni finding Awoniyi, who muscles his way into the box. He's not quite balanced, though, as he helps the ball onto Mason-Clark. The latter's also off-balance, so his shot doesn't really trouble Verbruggen.
21'
GOOD HEADER! Better from Coventry! Mason-Clark stays onside as he chases a ball out to the left. He tees up Dasilva, whose first-time cross is met by Rudoni. The midfielder, who finished last season with a flourish, generates plenty of power in his header towards goal, but it's just too high.
23'
Mustapha Hadji's brace against Aston Villa on that fateful day in May 2001 remain the last goals Coventry scored in the Premier League. It looks like they're getting closer to breaking their duck, though.
25'
RUDONI, BRILLIANT SAVE! The hosts go close again via the same man! Dasilva lifts the ball into the box and Rudoni pulls away at the far post. He looks to guide a volley back across goal, but Verbruggen manages to get a strong hand to it.
27'
Coventry have certainly grown into this game, as it hits the half-hour mark. If they can find a goal, it would definitely settle them down - not just today, but going forward.
30'
ANOTHER GREAT SAVE FROM VERBRUGGEN! A Coventry free-kick is only cleared as far as Onyeka. The midfielder controls on his chest and unleashes a ferocious volley, but Verbruggen manages to just about tip it over the bar.
32'
Goal Charalampos Kostoulas
35'
Assist Pascal Groß
35'
BRIGHTON SCORE AND IT'S BEAUTIFULLY TAKEN!!! KOUSTOULAS MAKES IT 1-0! Coventry's positive spell counts for nothing. Boscagli's cross is cleared but helped back into the box by Gross. Koustoulas neatly nods the ball away from Pinnock, before drilling into the far corner past a flat-footed Rushworth.
35'
Gross kept the Brighton attack live by heading the ball back into the box, but it was very nicely taken by Koustoulas.
35'
Forward come Brighton again with the Seagulls looking for a second goal soon after their first. Gross lines one up from distance, and his low drive isn't too far wide of the near post.
37'
Coventry look to respond and Rudoni has space down the left to send a low ball into the near post. Mason-Clark attacks it, but Dunk does just about enough to put him off.
38'
Gross' assist takes his tally in the Premier League to 49. Since his first season with Brighton in 2017-18, the only midfielders to register more are Kevin De Bruyne (91), Bruno Fernandes (73) and Bernardo Silva (50).
40'
As for Coventry, if they're going to win this game, they'll have to party like it's 1999. Indeed, it was on March 6 of that year that they last prevailed in a Premier League match when conceding first, beating Charlton Athletic.
43'
There's grappling into the Coventry box between Mason-Clark and Dunk, who pushes the forward to the ground. It's handbags, though, and the referee can quickly sort things out.
45'
HALF-TIME: COVENTRY CITY 0-1 BRIGHTON
45'
GOOD DEFENDING! Brighton look for a second goal just before half-time, which would really drive a dagger into Coventry's hearts. Vuskovic peels away at the far post to send a header towards goal. However, Grimes reads it well, and positions himself to clear it away in the six-yard box.
45'
Coventry trail again on their Premier League return, with Brighton 1-0 to the good at half-time at the CBS Arena. The Sky Blues shaded the xG 0.92-0.84, but were made to pay after not taking their opportunities. Brighton made the stronger start, with Gomez firing their best chance wide from a tight angle early on. Coventry grew into the game, though, and twice went close as Rudoni and Onyeka drew smart saves from Verbruggen. However, it was the Seagulls who landed the first blow of the contest 10 minutes before the break. Gross helped Boscagli's cleared cross back into the area, with Koustoulas making space before firing past a flat-footed Rushworth.
0'
With their one-goal lead, Brighton's chances of victory have increased to 72.4% via Opta's supercomputer. Coventry are now given a measly 8.6% opportunity of coming from behind to claim all three points, with a draw at 19%.
0'
The teams are back out and Coventry get the second half under way!
46'
EARLY CHANCE! Grimes steals the ball in a good position, and Rudoni helps it onto Mason-Clark. The latter it in his stride, but his shot is tame and straight at Verbruggen.
46'
Considering how slow they were out of the blocks in the first half, that was a very promising start to the second by Coventry. Lampard's words are still clearly ringing in their ears.
48'
Goal Malick Yalcouyé
51'
Assist Maxim De Cuyper
51'
Red Card Taiwo Awoniyi
53'
De Cuyper helped the ball forward, but Yalcouye did the rest in superb fashion.
51'
AND JUST LIKE THAT, IT WAS 2-0!!! YALCOUYE RACES AWAY AND SCORES! Coventry are finding out the hard way in the Premier League! After the ball is helped forward by Brighton, Van Ewijk and Thomas are very slow to react. Yalcouye subsequently nips in and races through, before slotting past Rushworth.
51'
IT GOES FROM BAD TO WORSE FOR COVENTRY! AWONIYI IS SENT OFF! Already two goals down, Coventry are now a man down as well. Awoniyi catches De Cuyper with a stray elbow as the ball is pumped forward. It's deemed deliberate violent conduct by the referee, who shows the striker a straight red card, with VAR upholding the decision.
53'
Lampard sits in the dugout and ponders what move to make next. Does he go for broke with his side already two goals down, or will it be a case of damage limitation?
55'
Coventry fans have their hearts in their mouths as Koustoulas runs onto a throughball in behind the defence. However, they can breathe when the offside flag is raised on the far side.
58'
Lampard turns to the bench and hands a debut to Cherif, who comes on in place of Mason-Clark. The latter worked hard today, but his efforts reaped no rewards.
60'
Substitution Malick Yalcouyé José María Andrés Baixauli
65'
That'll frustrate Coventry and Lampard. Onyeka has space to run into down the left and the chance to send in a decent cross. However, his eventual attempt to do so doesn't even miss the first man.
64'
Brighton have lost only one of their last 14 Premier League matches against promoted sides (W7 D6). There's still time for Coventry, but it's looking unlikely the Seagulls will struggle another such defeat here.
62'
Brighton make a change and Yalcouye, who scored that brilliant second goal, is given a rest, with Andres coming on in his place.
65'
Penalty Goal Pascal Groß
70'
PENALTY!!! Brighton have the chance to make it 3-0! Thomas is penalised and he has no complaints whatsoever. He's late as he challenges Koustoulas, who was attacking Gomez's cross. There's a resigned look on the face of the Coventry skipper, who doesn't even appeal the decision.
68'
NO PROBLEM FOR GROSS!!! 3-0 BRIGHTON AND, SURELY, GAME OVER! Gross steps up to take the penalty, and he's as cool as you like. The experienced midfielder sweeps the ball low to the left of Rushworth, who doesn't even move.
70'
Substitution Frank Onyeka Caleb Yirenkyi
73'
Substitution Jack Rudoni Brandon Thomas-Asante
73'
Jeers ring around the CBS Arena as Onyeka goes down on the edge of the box under Vuskovic's challenge, only to be told to get to his feet by the referee. The Coventry midfielder's stayed down, though, with replays showing a trailing defender accidentally trod on his hand.
72'
Onyeka will play no further part in this game, as he makes way to be replaced by Yirenkyi.
73'
The hosts make another change with Rudoni also withdrawn and replaced by Thomas-Asante.
73'
Rushworth is way out of goal, and plays a sloppy pass intended for Yirenkyi. Andres can see the headlines written when he looks to find the empty net from just inside the Coventry half. His ambitious attempt is wayward, though.
74'
Substitution Luka Vuskovic Pascal Struijk
78'
Substitution Olivier Boscagli Ibrahim Osman
78'
Barring the most spectacular of collapses, Brighton are home and dry heading into the final quarter of an hour. Can the Seagulls add to their lead, though?
76'
Vuskovic also makes way for the visitors, as Struijk comes on in his place for the last 12 minutes.
78'
The Seagulls make a couple of changes. Boscagli makes way in the first of them to be replaced by Osman.
78'
Brighton go in search of a fourth goal. Ayari prods the ball towards the target, but it's tame and never troubling Rushworth.
81'
Goal Lewis Dunk
83'
Assist José María Andrés Baixauli
83'
Substitution Charalampos Kostoulas Matt O'Riley
84'
Substitution Matt Grimes Victor Torp
85'
Substitution Diego Gómez João Pedro Loureiro da Costa
85'
Andres teed the ball up for Dunk, but what followed was simply outstanding.
83'
OH WOW!!! LEWIS DUNK! IT'S 4-0, COURTESY OF A BOLT FROM THE BLUE FROM THE MOST UNLIKELY OF SOURCES! Brighton are teasing Coventry as they knock the ball around the edge of the penalty area. It's laid back to Dunk, a good 30 yards from the hosts' goal. The skipper buys a ticket and wins the jackpot, as his long-range strike dips and nestles in Rushworth's top-right corner.
83'
Substitution Matt Grimes Victor Torp
84'
Koustoulas is given a well-earned breather by Hurzeler, who introduces O'Riley in his place for the last few minutes.
84'
Coventry make a change in the middle of the park, with Torp replacing skipper Grimes.
84'
Substitution Diego Gómez João Pedro Loureiro da Costa
84'
Brighton's other change sees Gomez make way to be replaced by Costinha.
84'
This is now officially a game between the Premier League's lowest and highest scorers. Coventry are still to break their duck after the opening four games, while Brighton already have 12 to their tally.
86'
Inspired by Dunk, De Cuyper lets fly from the edge of the box. He's not as successful as his skipper, though, with his attempt flying high and wide of the goal.
89'
Coventry look set to become only the second side to start a Premier League season with four straight defeats without scoring. The other were Crystal Palace in 2017-18, with head coach Frank de Boer ultimately paying with his job.
88'
Ayari fires into the stand from distance as we enter six additional minutes at the end of this game. There are some glum faces among the home supporters. Time is on their side at the moment, but as things stand, it looks like it will be a long season for the Sky Blues.
90'
Goal Yasin Ayari
90'
Assist Pascal Groß
90'
