Farke reverts to the same XI that faced Brighton in Leeds' last Premier League encounter, while Jaissle notes two changes for Newcastle from their last Premier League game - the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth - as Murphy and Fernandez-Pardo replace Willock and Anthony Elanga, the latter of whom is injured.

Newcastle went through a pre-season of upheaval, which saw the likes of Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes leave, while Eddie Howe departed the club. However, Matthias Jaissle has made a solid start to life at St James' Park, earning 2-2 home draws with Liverpool and Bournemouth either side of a 2-0 victory at Tottenham. They also defeated Millwall 1-0 last week to punch their ticket to round four of the EFL Cup. Newcastle have a good recent record at Elland Road, losing just one of their last eight trips there (W4, D3) - that coming in a 5-2 defeat back in December 2020. That aforementioned win at Spurs means Newcastle are looking to win consecutive away league games for the first time since April 2025, while they last won each of their first two on the road in a season back in 1995-96.
0'
Daniel Farke's Leeds side are unbeaten through three top-flight games this season, starting their campaign with a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest before playing out 1-1 draws with Brentford and Brighton. Their only defeat this term came at Chelsea last week, where they lost a nine-goal thriller 6-3 in round three of the EFL Cup. Their recent record against Newcastle isn't great, with Leeds failing to win in their last six Premier League games against the Magpies (D4, L2), while their last triumph was a 2-1 win at St James' Park in January 2021. However, the Whites have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League games (W5, D6), and are unbeaten in the competition so far this season. Only in 1995-96, 1998-99 and 2001-02 have they avoided defeat in each of their first four in the Premier League.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this Premier League fixture between Leeds United and Newcastle United at Elland Road!
0'
Bogle clips one into Stach on the right of the area, he opts to try and square it for Calvert-Lewin instead of shooting and wins a corner off Botman. The Germany midfielder takes it himself, it's flicked on by a Leeds head but Newcastle clear.
1'
Referee Michael Salisbury blows his whistle and we are underway at Elland Road!
1'
Leeds are looking really lively so far, with Newcastle struggling to get the ball off the hosts.
3'
Leeds think they've won a penalty here, the home crowd shouted for handball as Gudmundsson's cross hit Gonzalez. But it actually strikes the Newcastle midfielder in the head, and he requires treatment.
5'
Ooooh, Trafford gets in a tangle! He takes an age on the ball, and Wissa charges in to close down his attempted pass. It goes up in the air, but thankfully for Trafford, away from goal.
5'
Gonzalez is back on his feet, thankfully, and the game restarts.
7'
Wissa goes up against Muharemovic for an aerial challenge, and catches the Leeds defender in the face with a flailing arm to concede the free-kick.
9'
Ampadu strikes one from the edge of the box, it looks like it might go into the bottom-left corner, but it hits Calvert-Lewin and out for a goal-kick.
11'
Some very early controversy here. Bogle clips one into Stach on the right of the area, he opts to try and square it for Calvert-Lewin instead of shooting and wins a corner off Botman. The Germany midfielder takes it himself, it's flicked on by a Leeds head but Newcastle clear. However, the Leeds fans are adamant that Fernandez-Pardo handled as the ball bounce just inside the area. Salisbury isn't interested, and VAR opted not to intervene.
1'
Thiaw looks for Murphy down the right flank, but he can't get it under control and it goes out for a Leeds throw-in.
13'
GOOD SAVE! It's a lovely Leeds move as Tanaka's cross-field ball to the right of the penalty area is nodded down by Justin. It finds Bogle, who spins sharply in the area and gets an effort goalwards, only for Hornicek to get down low to his right and parry for a corner. Stach takes the set-piece, but Newcastle head clear.
15'
Wissa is making a nuisance of himself up top. Murphy plays a looping pass over the top that the striker races onto. He tries to pick out Fernandez-Pardo, but Elvedi nods it behind for a corner. Hall takes it short and Newcastle do nothing with it, bit of a waste after good work from Wissa in truth.
17'
It looks as though Gonzalez is going to have to come off for Newcastle here as a result of taking that ball to the face earlier.
19'
Substitution Nico González Sean Steur
19'
Indeed he does. Newcastle have to take off González for Steur here. As this is a concussion substitution, it doesn't count towards Newcastle's quota, so they still have five they can make later in the game.
19'
It's been a lively start to the game here, Newcastle are looking to go in behind, while Leeds are trying to build from the back. An intriguing battle thus far, though no gols to talk about.
21'
Murphy tries to win a corner for Newcastle over on the right-hand side, but it doesn't quite happen for him.
23'
Gudmundsson clips one into the left of the area, where Bogle has made a wonderful run from the opposite flank. Thiaw gets across to concede the corner. Stach delivers, it's punched clear by Hornicek, but Bogle controls it and hits one on the half-volley that Newcastle's goalkeeper has to push away.
25'
Woops! Taxi for Elvedi...Gudmundsson's cross is flicked on by Stach, and the centre-back has acres of space on the right of the box, but he completely fluffs the volley. He had more time to take the touch in all honesty, it's a bit of a let-off for Newcastle.
27'
Okafor cuts in from the left and gets a shot away, which is deflected and goes out for a throw-in. Ampadu launches the long throw, but Newcastle get it away and look to counter through Wissa. He does well initially, but then his pass looking for Barnes is poorly executed and gathered by Trafford.
29'
It's on a real knife-edge at the moment this game, can either side made a breakthrough?
31'
Own goal Lewis Miley
32'
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL! LEEDS LEAD! It's very fortunately, but ask those Leeds fans if they care? Tanaka starts it by spraying out to Okafor on the left flank. Okafor returns it to Tanaka, who takes a touch, hits it, and the ball deflects off both Steur and Miley, deceiving Hornicek and nestling in the right-hand corner! It goes down as a Miley own goal, and Leeds lead 1-0!
32'
Goal Dominic Calvert-Lewin
34'
Assist James Justin
34'
Justin took a touch out of feet, and put a wonderful ball in the air from the right flank for Calvert-Lewin to attack.
34'
GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL! CALVERT-LEWIN DOUBLES THE LEAD! Oh, Newcastle have lost complete control of this. They lose the ball deep in their own territory, Leeds work it right to Justin, who hangs a wonderful ball into the area, and Calvert-Lewin leaps up and emphatically heads past Hornicek into the bottom-right corner! Leeds are 2-0 in front now!
34'
There were just two minutes and 42 seconds between those goals, and Elland Road is bouncing now.
36'
Calvert-Lewin has scored more Premier League goals against Newcastle than any other side (eight).
38'
CLOSE AGAIN! Oh, that was so nearly 3-0. Okafor slips Gudmundsson in, his cross-shot isn't held by Hornicek, but Calvert-Lewin can only put his follow-up straight at the Newcastle goalkeeper. It really ought to have been 3-0 that.
38'
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored 10 goals across his last 15 Premier League appearances at Elland Road. In truth, it should now be 11. Leeds are on fire here.
40'
GREAT BLOCK! Newcastle have been under the cosh, but they break here. Wissa gets into the area, is tackled by Stach, and it falls for Barnes, whose strike is blocked by Muharemovic! Newcastle wanted a penalty on Wissa, but nothing doing. The following corner comes to nothing.
41'
Fernandez-Pardo tries to run in behind, but Muharemovic gets across to clear the danger.
43'
Calvert-Lewin goes into the book after catching Botman in the face with his arm.
44'
Goal Dominic Calvert-Lewin
45'
There will be a minimum of two added minutes to play in the first half here.
45'
Assist Tarik Muharemovic
45'
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL! THAT COULD BE THAT! CALVERT-LEWIN SCORES AGAIN! Bogle switches the play, it's flicked by Muharemovic, who knew nothing about it. But Calvert-Lewin is onto the loose ball in a flash, moves into the area, cuts inside Botman, and slots past Hornicek into the bottom-right corner. Leeds lead Newcastle 3-0 and that might be it for Newcastle.
45'
Muharemovic gets the assist after flicking on Bogle's cross-field pass, but it was all about Calvert-Lewin's awareness to react.
45'
HALF-TIME: LEEDS UNITED 3-0 NEWCASTLE UNITED
45'
Salisbury blows for half-time and Leeds are coasting at 3-0 up against Newcastle. Honestly, who saw that coming? The Whites thought they should have had a handball against Fernandez-Pardo in the very first minute, but any frustration has quickly evaporated. It started in the 32nd minute when Tanaka's strike deflected off both Steur and Lewis Miley, to completely wrongfoot Hornicek. Just a couple of minutes later, Calvert-Lewin met Justin's cross with a thumping header. The England striker missed another soon after, but he had a second on the stroke of half-time, putting Botman on the floor and coolly slotting past Hornicek.
0'
This marks the first time Leeds have scored three-plus goals in the first half of a Premier League game at Elland Road since May 2001 against Bradford City (five). Farke's men have an xG of just 0.90, but don't be fooled they are well worth this lead. Newcastle's own xG of 0.26 tells a story of their struggles. Opta's live win probability has Leeds at 96 per cent likely to win this game now (compared to just 0.7 per cent for Newcastle), and it is hard to see any other outcome. But, stick with us folks, after all stranger things have happened in the Premier League.
0'
Salisbury blows his whistle and we're back underway at Elland Road!
46'
Quick update, folks, and an interesting one. Calvert-Lewin's first goal has now been given to his team-mate Bogle. His header hit the wing-back on the way in, so it's now been credited to Bogle, with Calvert-Lewin getting the assist.
47'
Newcastle win a corner, which Trafford punches behind for another. Hall takes this one, but Newcastle head clear.
48'
Since the start of last season, only Erling Haaland (16) and Igor Thiago (13) have scored more Premier League home goals than Dominic Calvert-Lewin (10).
50'
GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL! LEEDS DOUBLE THE LEAD! Oh dear, Newcastle have lost complete control of this. They lose the ball deep in their own territory, Leeds work it right to Justin, who hangs a wonderful ball into the area, and Calvert-Lewin leaps up and emphatically heads it, but it hits Bogle on the way past Hornicek into the bottom-right corner! Leeds are 2-0 in front now, and it goes down as a Bogle goal!
34'
Calvert-Lewin will be smarting from having that goal taken away from him. He looks bang in the mood to add to his tally here.
52'
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL! THAT COULD BE THAT! CALVERT-LEWIN SCORES! THIS TIME IT IS HIS GOAL!
45'
Yellow Card Jacob Murphy
54'
Okafor loses the ball in a dangerous position, and Murphy's cross is headed away by Elvedi. There was a quick check for handball, but it was checked and cleared. Hall then lets fly from 25 yards, but it's a simple parry for Trafford.
54'
STACH SHOULD SCORE! He gets in ahead of his marker after more poor work from the Magpies, he clips it past Hornicek but only into the side netting. He knows he should score that one.
55'
Murphy is frustrated as he tries to go past Gudmundsson but is outmuscled. He petulantly kicks the Sweden international and deservedly goes into the book.
54'
Substitution Jacob Murphy Bazoumana Touré
57'
Jaissle is making a triple substitution here as he looks to get Newcastle back in the game. The first of those sees Murphy, now on a booking, replaced by Toure.
57'
Substitution Amar Dedic Tino Livramento
58'
Substitution Matias Fernandez-Pardo Joe Willock
58'
Substitution Amar Dedic Tino Livramento
57'
Fernandez-Pardo hasn't had much go his way tonight, and he is replaced by Willock.
57'
Dedic takes a seat as well, as Livramento enters the fray.
57'
Goal Noah Okafor
59'
Dedic takes a seat as well, as Livramento enters the fray.
58'
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL! OKAFOR MAKES IT FOUR! Ampadu launches a long throw into the penalty area, Botman gets up to head it down, but Okafor hits it first time left footed on the bounce and finds the bottom-right corner! That was wonderful execution from the Switzerland international, and Leeds are 4-0 in front now!
59'
The Leeds fans are chanting about going "mental" with some more choice language in there as well. They are absolutely loving what their side is producing here, and who can blame them? Newcastle have been completely and utterly outplayed so far.
61'
Oooft Hornicek has another nervy moment. Gudmundsson delivers from the left, and the Czech goalkeeper can't hold it. Fortunately for him, no Leeds player is there to follow in.
62'
Leeds win a corner, which Stach takes, but it's poorly taken and Toure heads clear at the near post.
63'
Bit better from Newcastle as Wissa puts a low ball across the face of the area towards Toure, but Justin gets in ahead of him to clear. Barnes then goes down in the area from Muharemovic's challenge. He wants a penalty, but nothing is given on the pitch. VAR has a check, as Barnes hits a shot on target at Trafford. After that, the check is complete and the decision stands.
65'
Toure looks to cross from deep on the left, but it causes no danger. Livramento tries to recycle, but Leeds drive Newcastle back again.
67'
Newcastle, to their credit, are still pushing. Livramento now delivers one into the area that Leeds clear again.
69'
Any time Newcastle do get the ball, Leeds are so good at getting back into shape and snuffing out danger. Farke will be as thrilled with that aspect of their game as he will the goals. Newcastle do get a chance, though, with a couple of hooks in the area - the second of which from Willock's actually clipped the top of he crossbar.
71'
The hugely popular Tanaka, who forced the first goal, is taken offf or Aaronson.
72'
Substitution Gabriel Gudmundsson Melvin Bard
72'
Farke is looking to his bench now as well, as goalscorer Okafor is replaced by close-season arrival Wilson.
72'
And Gudmundsson, who's been quietly brilliant too, is replaced by Bard.
72'
This game is the earliest that Leeds have scored four goals in a Premier League game since December 2020 versus West Brom (40th minute). Since the start of last season, no side has scored more goals from throw-ins than Leeds (six - level with Brentford).
74'
Trafford's clearance isn't the best, and Willock clips one forward looking for Toure. He's called for offside, but it looked a bit unlucky.
76'
Willock shapes to shoot on his right from just outside the box on the left. He doesn't make great purchase, though, and it's easy for Trafford to deal with.
78'
Substitution Dominic Calvert-Lewin Lukas Nmecha
78'
It's a wonderful reception for Calvert-Lewin, who has been outstanding this evening. On in his place comes Nmecha.
78'
Substitution Lewis Miley Aladji Bamba
80'
Lewis Miley takes a seat for Newcastle as Bamba comes on for the final 10 minutes.
80'
Botman receives treatment, then is frustrated when he is told he has to go off. Players should know the rules by now really.
82'
Bogle has had a fantastic game, and he has a goal credited to him as well. He comes off now for James.
83'
Calvert-Lewin has scored more Premier League goals against Newcastle than any other side (eight).
51'
Into the final five minutes we go then, and this one is already done in reality. It's merely a countdown to full-time.
85'
The Leeds fans are chanting loudly for Farke. He has got it spot-on tactically this evening against his German counterpart Jaissle.
87'
Substitution Anton Stach Sean Longstaff
88'
A nice moment here, as boyhood Newcastle fan Longstaff comes on for Leeds. He, of course departed St James' Park for Leeds before the 2025-26 season.
88'
CLOSE! James gets beyond Hall and delivers from the right, Nmecha stretches to try and meet the cross but he can't quite make contact.
89'
Assist Tino Livramento
90'
Goal Bazoumana Touré
90'
Livramento goes into the book after lunging at Aaronson. He protests it's his first one, but Salisbury isn't interested.
90'
GOAL FOR NEWCASTLE! Barnes plays it wide to Livramento, his cross deflects into the path of Toure. He sort of slips, but then stabs the ball goalwards past Trafford. No clean sheet for Trafford and Leeds, and Farke was furious with that. Still, his side lead 4-1.
90'
Livramento gets the assist, sliding it to his team-mate across the area.
90'
From the resulting free-kick, Wilson delivers towards the back post and Muharemovic is there to head it back. However, there's too much purchase on it, and it goes out for a goal-kick.
90'
